Pendopo Talang Ubi, PALI District, KOTABARI.COM – Asma, the owner of Fateha Gold Shop, remains in a state of shock after experiencing a brutal robbery at her store. This incident occurred on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Pendopo Talang Ubi’s Inpres Market in PALI District and has left the local community in turmoil.
During the robbery, Asma was alone in her shop while her husband, Budi, was absent. Three assailants, arriving on two motorcycles, came to the store when the situation was relatively quiet. They were wearing helmets and inquired about the shop’s location from a local resident, who unsuspectingly pointed them in the right direction.
Once inside the store, the assailants brandished firearms and forcibly stole all the gold from the store’s display case. This incident took place at 11:57 AM local time. Initially, Asma, the shop owner, screamed hysterically in response to the robbery but later fainted upon witnessing the perpetrators looting her entire inventory of gold.
Ari, a local resident, mentioned that the gold shop appeared deserted at the time of the incident. Asma’s distressed cries triggered the response of nearby residents, but regrettably, the assailants managed to flee before the community could take further action.
The exact extent of the losses due to this robbery remains uncertain, primarily because of Asma’s psychological condition as she continues to grapple with the shock. Kompol A Darmawan, the Police Chief of Talang Ubi, confirmed that the police have conducted a crime scene investigation, gathered testimonies from witnesses, and are reviewing CCTV footage from various angles, installed by the Communications and Information Office. They hope to apprehend the culprits swiftly to restore a sense of security to the community.
Asma, the owner of Fateha Gold Shop, still needs time to recover from the trauma of this brutal robbery. It is our hope that the police will apprehend the culprits promptly and restore a sense of safety to the area.
