Palembang, KOTABARI.COM – The murder case that shocked Macan Lindungan has finally seen a breakthrough as the main perpetrator has been apprehended by the police. The perpetrator behind the murder is Suganda, who revealed new facts regarding the motive behind his heinous act.
According to Suganda’s confession during police interrogation, the motive behind the murder is suspected to stem from resentment over hurtful remarks from the victim, Wasila, as well as an unsettled salary issue. “They promised to pay me Rp 3 million but only gave me 1.5 million, and there was also offense taken with Anung’s wife,” Suganda stated.
The perpetrator also admitted that he was not acting alone in this crime. “Another perpetrator is still at large,” he added.
Suganda chillingly described the horrific moments when he killed Wasila in the garage, then entered the house and confronted the victim’s son who was on the phone with his father. “After they were no longer alive, her husband arrived. I intended to kill him too, but seeing him with a friend made me change my mind,” he confessed.
When the victim’s husband arrived at the house, Suganda and his accomplice were still hiding inside. However, upon hearing knocks on the door, they fled through the back door and jumped over the fence.
Palembang Police Chief, Commissioner Pol Harryo Sugihartono, confirmed the arrest of the perpetrator on Tuesday (4/16/2024). The perpetrator, who was a subordinate of the victim’s husband, was apprehended after intensive investigation by a joint team from Palembang Police Headquarters, South Sumatra Regional Police, and Ilir Barat I Police.
Although the main perpetrator has been captured, the police are still investigating the possibility of other individuals involved in this case. “We are still developing leads on other possible perpetrators,” said Commissioner Pol Harryo Sugihartono.
This case continues to capture public attention, while the police continue their efforts to ensure that justice is served for the victims and their family.
