Palembang, KOTABARI.COM – The mystery surrounding the identity of the body found tied in a sack filled with stones in the Musi River near Musi IV Bridge has been solved. The victim has been identified as Nicky Pardede (23), a resident of Babatan Saudagar, Pegayut Village, Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The victim is of Chinese descent.
Nicky’s family has visited Bhayangkara Moh Hasan Hospital to claim the body. His identity was confirmed through his tattoos and keloid scars on his back and chest.
“We got the news from the police. When we checked, the tattoos matched and the keloid scars on his back and chest were the same. He is indeed my son,” said Lim Ashiong (51), the victim’s father, when met at the hospital on Friday (June 21, 2024).
According to Lim, Nicky left home on June 6, 2024. After several days without any news, the family reported Nicky’s disappearance to the Pemulutan Police on June 10, 2024.
“He didn’t come home since June 6. We searched everywhere but couldn’t find him. We filed a police report on June 10,” Lim added.
On a daily basis, Nicky helped with his parents’ grocery store business in Babatan Saudagar, Pegayut.
“He helped me with the store,” said Lim.
The discovery of Nicky Pardede’s body adds to the list of violent cases in the area. The police are continuing their investigation to uncover the perpetrator and the motive behind this tragic incident. The family hopes the case will be resolved quickly and the perpetrator brought to justice.
