Palembang, KOTABARI.COM – A horrifying tragedy has shaken the Macan Lindungan area in the city of Palembang, as a man named Anung Kurniawan returned home only to find his wife and daughter dead in a pool of blood.
The tragic incident unfolded in the morning while Kurniawan was busy at his workshop. Around 07:20 AM, he left home to go to the workshop on Parameswara Street, leaving his wife and two children at home.
However, about half an hour later, an emergency call from his daughter, Farah Atika (16), summoned him back home with an anxious tone. Without hesitation, Kurniawan immediately left the workshop and headed home to Tanjung Bubuk Street.
However, returning home did not answer Farah’s prayers. Upon arrival, Kurniawan found the house locked. Without waiting, he urgently requested assistance from his 7-year-old son, identified as GA, to open the door.
As the door swung open, horror greeted him. In the garage, Kurniawan found his wife, Wasila (40), lying face down with a machete embedded in the back of her neck. The condition indicated that Wasila had breathed her last.
Kurniawan’s sorrow did not end there. Upon checking the bedroom, he found his daughter, Farah, lying lifeless with stab wounds in her abdomen. Other injuries were also visible, adding to the already shocking tragedy.
Without hesitation, Kurniawan immediately reported the incident to the police, who then launched an investigation into the tragic deaths of two family members.
As of now, the motive behind this brutal murder remains a major puzzle for authorities. Local residents are shocked and gripped with fear over this tragic event.
