Palembang, KOTABARI.COM – Today, a somber atmosphere envelops the Faculty of Economics and Business at Muhammadiyah University in Palembang. A heartbreaking tragedy has befallen one of its students, Tharisah Tsaniah (22), who lost her life in a fatal accident on MP Mangku Negara Street in Palembang.
The news is even more heart-wrenching as the accident occurred on Tharisah’s birthday. “Yes, today is her birthday,” revealed her uncle, Ijal, when approached at the mortuary of Muhammad Hoesin Hospital (RSMH) in Palembang on Monday (6/5/2024).
Tharisah, a senior student majoring in Management, resided with her sibling on Sukatani Street. According to Ijal, Tharisah’s parents are still en route from Java to attend their daughter’s funeral.
The family, taking turns to visit Tharisah’s body at RSMH, appeared shattered and in disbelief over the sudden departure of the cheerful girl they knew. “It’s like they couldn’t believe the cheerful girl met such a tragic end,” Ijal said with teary eyes.
According to her uncle’s account, Tharisah had just finished her classes and was heading home when the accident occurred. “She had just returned from class and was going home. The family’s grief is unimaginable, losing a child like this,” he said, struggling to hold back his deep sorrow.
