Palembang, KOTABARI.COM – Fitrianti Agustinda, the Chairperson of the Palembang Red Cross (PMI) and former Deputy Mayor of Palembang, once again did not respond to the summons from the Palembang District Attorney’s Office. The summons was part of an investigation following public reports of alleged corruption involving PMI Palembang’s grant funds.
Fitrianti was supposed to attend the summons on Wednesday (July 17, 2024). However, along with six other PMI officials, she did not appear. Out of the eight individuals summoned, only Agus Budiman, the Deputy Secretary of PMI Palembang, attended.
“Today, only the Deputy Secretary showed up,” said Ario Apriyanto Gopar, Head of the Special Crimes Unit at the Palembang District Attorney’s Office, when confirmed.
Ario explained that Fitrianti Agustinda’s absence was due to her being ill. “The reason is illness; we will reschedule,” Ario briefly stated.
In addition to Fitrianti, other individuals summoned included Dr. Ajeng Intan Estrie, Head of PMI Palembang UPTD, Akhmad Bastari, Head of Disaster Management, Ansori, Treasurer of PMI Palembang, as well as Mike Herawati, Dewi Puspita, and Anisa Renda. All these individuals postponed their attendance.
Akhmad Bastari and Ansori postponed their appearances due to being on official duty out of town. Meanwhile, the other four requested the summons be rescheduled.
“They share the same lawyer and requested a postponement; we will call them again later,” Ario added.
Consequently, the Palembang District Attorney’s Office will reschedule the summons for Fitrianti and other PMI officials to continue the investigation into the alleged corruption of PMI Palembang’s grant funds.
