PALEMBANG, KOTABARI.COM – Damyuti Fikrie (58), a resident of Jalan Jaya 7 Lorong Lematang Kecamatan SU II, Palembang, has reported M Aliansyah for the alleged embezzlement of his land certificate. The report was filed with the SPKP (Crime Investigation and Record Unit) of the Palembang Metropolitan Police on Monday, October 2, 2023.
According to Damyuti Fikrie, the incident in question occurred on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at approximately 10:00 AM at his residence. At that time, Damyuti Fikrie needed funds for his business and had planned to borrow Rp 35 million from a bank, using his land certificate as collateral.
While considering this option, his friend, M Aliansyah, offered assistance, citing connections at a bank in Palembang. Driven by trust in his friend, Damyuti Fikrie handed over the land certificate without suspicion.
However, after some time had passed, M Aliansyah became evasive, and the promised loan never materialized. Damyuti Fikrie’s land certificate was also not returned.
Damyuti Fikrie stated that he had made multiple attempts to retrieve his land certificate from M Aliansyah but was always met with vague excuses. Consequently, he decided to report the matter to the authorities, concerned that his land certificate might be misused.
The report from the victim has been received by the on-duty personnel at SPKP Polrestabes Palembang, who have classified it as a case of embezzlement. The case will now be handed over to the Criminal Investigation Unit (Unit Reskrim) for further action.
This incident serves as an important reminder for the public to exercise caution when conducting transactions or loans with close associates and to always ensure the validity of any agreements made, especially in matters of property ownership such as land certificates.
