Musi Banyuasin, KOTABARI.COM – The South Sumatra Regional Police successfully unraveled the mystery behind the deaths of an entire family in Lumpatan Village, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The Punisher Team from Unit 4 Subdit 3 Jatanras Ditreskrim of the South Sumatra Regional Police managed to apprehend the main suspect, Eeng Praza (48), who was an acquaintance of the victim, Heri, in this startling case.
Eeng was captured in Jambi Province after being targeted by the Punisher Jatanras team of the South Sumatra Regional Police. Upon arrest, he surrendered without resistance and is currently undergoing intensive interrogation in the investigation room of the South Sumatra Regional Police.
Heri, along with his mother and two children, was found dead in a gruesome state on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, after receiving a sum of money from the sale of his oil palm plantation.
Information from the family suggests that the four victims had likely been deceased for three days before being discovered. Marsel, one of Heri’s children, was found with a severed head and parts of his body already consumed by wild animals.
Meanwhile, Aurel, Heri’s second child, was discovered in a horrific state at the back of the hut, tragically positioned inside the toilet. Heri and his mother, Masturo alias Juray, were found with severe wounds from sharp weapons, their bodies wrapped in blankets.
The autopsy process conducted by the Forensic Medicine Team of RS Bhayangkara M Hasan Palembang revealed details about the victims’ conditions, yet there is no official information released regarding the autopsy findings.
The South Sumatra Regional Police Chief will provide further details on the developments of this case shortly. Suspect Eeng Praza, currently under the supervision of the South Sumatra Regional Police, remains the focal point in the resolution of this case.
