PAGARALAM, KOTABARI.COM – The old adage “however skilled a squirrel may be at jumping, it will eventually fall” proved to be true for Yoga Sugama (29), a resident of Tebat Baru Ilir, Tebat Giri Indah Subdistrict, South Pagaralam, Pagaralam City. The suspect was apprehended by the Narcotics Unit of the Pagaralam City Police for allegedly trafficking methamphetamine.
Yoga had been on the police’s radar for quite some time since they received information from the community that his residence was frequently used for illegal transactions, and it was even suspected to be a drug party hotspot.
Acting on this tip-off, the Narcotics Unit, under the leadership of Chief AKP Sutioso SH MH MSi, descended on the specified location.
After conducting surveillance and observation, the police conducted a raid and successfully apprehended the suspect, Yoga Sugama, at his residence without any resistance. Upon searching his person, no drugs were found.
However, during a thorough search of his house, law enforcement officers made a significant discovery. Hidden under a shoe rack, they found one package containing approximately 0.40 grams of suspected methamphetamine (sabu). Additionally, a red Xiaomi mobile phone was seized as additional evidence.
AKBP Erwin Irawan SIk, speaking through Kasat Narkoba AKP Sutioso, accompanied by Kasi Humas Iptu Mastoni SH, made a statement to the media on Friday (July 21, 2023). He stated that the suspect and the seized evidence were safely brought to the Narcotics Unit of the Pagaralam City Police for further investigation.
The success in apprehending Yoga Sugama is a concrete testament to the police’s efforts to combat drug trafficking in the Pagaralam City area. The case remains under active investigation to uncover potential networks and other relevant parties involved.
