Palembang, KOTABARI.COM – In the early hours of this morning, a devastating fire broke out at the official residence of Dansat Brimob (Mobile Brigade Corps) of the South Sumatra Regional Police in Palembang. However, as of now, the exact sequence of events leading to the fire remains unknown.
Observations at the scene revealed that a police line had been set up to secure the area. Additionally, a tall zinc fence had been installed in front of the official residence, making it difficult for both authorities and nearby residents to assess the situation inside the affected building.
According to gathered information, Dansat Brimob of South Sumatra Regional Police, Commissioner Donyar Kusumadji, was on an official duty out of town in Papua when the fire occurred. The Head of Public Relations of South Sumatra Regional Police, Commissioner Pol Drs Supriadi, has not provided any statement regarding the incident, citing his current absence from the office. Attempts to obtain direct confirmation from him have been unsuccessful.
Meanwhile, several local residents near the scene seemed to lack precise information about the chronology of the fire at the official residence. One of the owners of a key duplication stall in the vicinity, who preferred to remain anonymous, stated that by 9 o’clock in the morning, the area was already crowded with police personnel.
