DKI Jakarta, KOTABARI.COM – The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) DKI Jakarta held a plenary meeting to determine the fate of Cinta Mega, a member of the Regional Representative Council (DPRD) of DKI Jakarta, who was allegedly caught playing a slot game during a plenary session. PDIP DKI Jakarta decided to dismiss Cinta Mega from her position as a member of DPRD DKI Jakarta.
Adi Wijdaja, the Chairman of PDIP DKI Jakarta, stated that the decision to conduct a replacement between terms (PAW) for Cinta had been agreed upon during the plenary meeting. PDIP DKI Jakarta will soon send a PAW letter to the PDIP Central Board (DPP) for confirmation.
“We held a plenary meeting because all decisions are usually made through this plenary meeting. After the plenary meeting, we imposed the sanction of PAW,” Adi told journalists on Tuesday (July 25, 2023).
Furthermore, Adi confirmed that PDIP DKI Jakarta will not nominate Cinta Mega as a legislator in the 2024 General Election. This decision marks the end of Cinta Mega’s role as a PDIP cadre.
“And we will not nominate her again for 2024,” he added.
Adi also stated that there is no need for further investigation of Cinta Mega’s tablet since she is no longer considered a PDIP cadre. However, Cinta Mega’s membership status will be determined by the PDIP Central Board.
“There is no need. We have dismissed her. Is it enough? That’s the end of it. Whatever someone does, including you, there are consequences. So, this is the consequence,” Adi emphasized.
“The party’s Central Board will decide on Cinta Mega’s membership,” he added.
The issue of Cinta Mega allegedly playing a slot game during a plenary session has garnered public attention and concern within the party, leading to her dismissal from the position of a member of DPRD DKI Jakarta by PDIP DKI Jakarta. The final decision regarding Cinta Mega’s party membership status will be determined by the PDIP Central Board.
