PALI, KOTABARI.COM – Jaimin (42), a resident of Gang Anggur RT. 001 RW. 012, Kelurahan Kelapa Dua, Ciracas Subdistrict, East Jakarta, was found dead under tragic circumstances on Sunday (30/7/2023) at approximately 07:41 AM, WIB. Jaimin, who worked as a dump truck driver for PT. Cipta Prima Sinergi (CPS), was discovered in the Coal Hauling Road Canal at Km. 39 of PT. Servo Lintas Raya (SLR) in the Raja Village area of Tanah Abang Subdistrict, PALI Regency.
According to information from PALI Police Chief, AKBP Khairu Nasrudin, S.I.K, M,H, and PALI Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit (Sat Reskrim) Chief, IPTU Yudhistira, S.Tr.K, S.I.K, the discovery was first reported by Pongki Hendriadi, along with Babay and Matsuparelik, on Sunday morning around 07:41 AM. They noticed a foul smell while passing through the Crime Scene (TKP) in the coal hauling road canal. Upon getting out of their vehicle, the three individuals found Jaimin’s lifeless body dressed in a short-sleeved t-shirt and shorts. Jaimin had a wound above his right eye and a broken arm on his left side. Additionally, there was a black wristwatch still worn on his left hand.
The Head of Tanah Abang Subdistrict Police, IPTU Darmawansyah SH MH, who was present during the discovery, stated that there is a strong suspicion that Jaimin was the victim of a murder. This assumption is based on the initial identification of the body, which showed wounds that appeared to be caused by a sharp weapon. The victim’s body was subsequently evacuated and taken to RSUD Talang Ubi using an ambulance from the Tanah Abang Community Health Center (Puskesmas) for further examination.
Meanwhile, Jaimin’s younger brother, Suprapto, confirmed that the deceased was indeed his elder brother, who had been missing for three days before being found dead in the coal hauling road canal. Suprapto had previously filed a Missing Person Report at the Tanah Abang Subdistrict Police on July 28, 2023.
As of now, Jaimin’s body is still being kept in the mortuary and undergoing an autopsy at RSUD Talang Ubi. The family is awaiting approval for a further autopsy at the Bhayangkara Hospital in Palembang to uncover the exact cause of Jaimin’s death.
Local law enforcement is currently investigating the case to find the perpetrator(s) and the motive behind the tragic death of the dump truck driver. It is hoped that the case will be resolved soon and bring justice to the victim’s family.
