Indralaya, KOTABARI.COM – The Ogan Ilir District Attorney’s Office (Kejari OI) continues its series of examinations regarding the corruption case involving the 2020 regional election grant fund. They have summoned former Regent of Ogan Ilir, Ilyas Panji Alam, for the third time. Ilyas Panji Alam is one of the dozens of witnesses requested to provide statements related to the alleged corruption involving the election grant fund given to the Ogan Ilir Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu Ogan Ilir).
Ario Apriyanto Gopar, the Head of Intelligence at the Ogan Ilir District Attorney’s Office, revealed that more than 50 witnesses have been requested to provide statements regarding this corruption case. In the series of examinations conducted by Kejari OI, 15 individuals have been questioned as witnesses, including Ilyas Panji Alam.
Nevertheless, there is still one witness who has not yet responded to the summons to provide their statement. The former Head of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Ogan Ilir, Sofiah Yohanis, has not attended the examinations due to health reasons. The Ogan Ilir District Attorney’s Office has issued a re-summons to Sofiah Yohanis, but as of now, there is no confirmation as to when she will be able to provide her statement.
As part of the ongoing case development, the Ogan Ilir District Attorney’s Office also plans to question the first three suspects who have been convicted in relation to this case. Aceng Sudrajat, Herman Fikri, and Romi, who have been sentenced as part of this case, will soon be summoned to provide further information.
The Head of the Ogan Ilir District Attorney’s Office has not provided further comments regarding the progress of the investigation and examinations in this case. However, the efforts undertaken by the prosecution demonstrate their commitment to uncovering the truth and upholding the law in the alleged corruption case involving the 2020 regional election grant fund in Ogan Ilir.
