Muara Enim, KOTABARI.COM – A sense of shock and alarm spread through Pasar 1 Kemayoran, Muara Enim, after the discovery of the lifeless body of a female in one of the boarding house rooms. The Muara Enim Police Department is currently conducting an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding this tragic death.

The deceased female, estimated to be 26 years old, has been identified as Shinta, a resident of Muara Sungai in the Cambai Prabumulih Subdistrict. The head of Pasar 1 Muara Enim, Miftah Sari, confirmed the victim’s identity. She stated that Shinta’s lifeless body was discovered in a boarding house owned by a man named Ripen, located in RT 01 RW 02 Kemayoran.

According to Lurah Miftah, Susi, a friend of the deceased’s husband, began searching for information about Shinta after she had been out of contact for two days. Susi visited Shinta’s boarding house, and upon unlocking the duplicate key to her room, was met with a foul odor. Upon entering the room, they found Shinta lifeless.

“The body has been taken to Rabain Hospital, and we have received reports from the local neighborhood head and community representatives about this incident,” Lurah Miftah disclosed.

Amin, the head of the Rabain Hospital Mortuary Installation, confirmed that Shinta’s body had undergone a post-mortem examination. Subsequently, preparations would be made for her funeral, including embalming using formalin.

The Muara Enim District Police Chief, AKBP Andi Supriadi, SIK, through Deputy Chief of Muara Enim Police, Kompol Cs Panjaitan, revealed that the investigative team had conducted a crime scene examination in connection with the discovery of the deceased female.

“While our personnel have conducted a thorough examination of the crime scene, we are still uncertain about the exact cause of this woman’s death. We ask the press for patience as the investigation is ongoing,” Deputy Chief Kompol Cs Panjaitan stated.

Deputy Chief Panjaitan also added that the investigative team had collected evidence from the crime scene and taken statements from witnesses who were present during the discovery of Shinta’s body.

“The deceased female is estimated to be 26 years old and is believed to have been deceased for more than 24 hours, emitting an odor indicating signs of decomposition,” he concluded.

The investigation continues to unravel the mystery surrounding Shinta’s death, with authorities hoping to provide answers to the victim’s family and the local community as soon as possible.
