Palembang, KOTABARI.COM – Fadilla, also known as Datuk (36), a driver who assaulted Luthfi, a medical intern at Siti Fatimah Regional General Hospital (RSUD), has officially been named a suspect by the South Sumatra Police. Following his designation as a suspect, he was immediately taken into custody.
The assault occurred at a café located on Jalan Demang Lebar Daun, in Palembang’s Ilir Barat I District. During the press release at the South Sumatra Police headquarters, Datuk appeared in an orange detainee uniform with his hands handcuffed, escorted by officers from Unit V, Sub-Directorate III, Jatanras.
Lina Dedy’s legal counsel, Titis Rachmawati, had earlier surrendered Datuk to the investigators as part of the ongoing legal process. Titis stated that her team is cooperating fully with the authorities and emphasized that the driver’s actions were unjustifiable.
“We have been very cooperative in handing over the suspect to the investigators for questioning. However, the actions of our client’s driver are indeed unacceptable,” said Titis.
The investigation into this case continues, as authorities delve deeper into the motive and timeline of the incident that led to the medical intern becoming a victim of assault. The South Sumatra Police have assured the public that they will handle the case firmly and in accordance with legal procedures.
