Musi Banyuasin, KOTABARI.COM – The integrated team formed by the Musi Banyuasin Regency Government to address the permitting issue surrounding Hotel Chaca, located in a green zone, is being criticized for a perceived lack of commitment and progress in resolving the matter. This revelation came to light as media teams investigated the team’s progress across various government agencies.

The Department of Investment and Integrated Licensing (DPMPTSP) of Musi Banyuasin Regency stated that the Building Permit (IMB), now referred to as the Building and Construction Approval (PBG) for Hotel Chaca, requires a recommendation from the Department of Public Works and Settlements (PU Perkim).

“Regarding the IMB or PBG for Hotel Chaca, please inquire with the PU Perkim Department; the recommendation comes from them,” said Yunita Indriati, Head of Complaints at DPMPTSP Muba, via WhatsApp last week. Meanwhile, Indra Kardiana from the PU Perkim Department seemed reluctant to comment when asked about the progress of the integrated team in the alleged unauthorized construction of Hotel Chaca.

“I’m sorry; I’m currently conducting a survey for this year’s APBDP activities. Concerning the green zone issue, you can request information from the Regional Planning and Regional Development Agency (Dinas PUPR) in the spatial planning field. They can provide details on the green zone. Thank you,” replied Indra Kardiana via WhatsApp. Similarly, Indita Purnama, Head of Law Enforcement at Satpol PP Muba, remained tight-lipped when questioned about the integrated team’s progress. This is despite previous reports that the team was supposed to be deployed following a memorandum from the Regent on July 5th. The brief message sent to her WhatsApp account only showed as “read.”

Previously reported, regarding Hotel Chaca’s permitting, the Integrated Team had submitted an approval memorandum to the Regent. Yunita Indriaty, Head of Permitting and Complaints at the Department of Investment and Integrated Licensing (DPMPTSP) of Musi Banyuasin Regency, explained, “Not yet, sir. Last week, we submitted a memorandum to the regent to go to the field.” She added that the Integrated Team, consisting of various Regional Government Organizations (OPD), requires approval from the regional head to conduct field activities. This integrated team includes DPMPTSP, the Department of Public Works and Settlements (Dinas PUPR), PU Perkim, DLH, and Satpol PP Muba. “You still need to wait; we will keep you informed of developments,” said Yunita.

Previously, concerning the presence of Hotel Chaca in a green zone, the Musi Banyuasin Regency Government had planned to form an Integrated Team. This was revealed by Erdian Syahri S.Sos M.Si, Head of Satpol PP Muba, when confirming questions from several media personnel in his office on June 20, 2023. Although the Integrated Team had not yet been deployed, the Chaca Hotel building located on Colonel Wahid Udin Street, Sekayu, was indeed within a green zone. This means that the authorities cannot recommend the issuance of a Building Permit (IMB), currently referred to as the Building and Construction Approval (PBG), in accordance with the Regional Spatial Planning Regulation (Perda RTRW).

Meanwhile, the Department of Investment and Integrated Licensing (DPMPTSP) of Musi Banyuasin Regency confirmed that Hotel Chaca Sekayu still did not possess a permit. This is because the hotel lacks a Building Permit (IMB). This fact came to light when the media team sought information on the operational permit of Hotel Chaca, which was allegedly built in the green zone of Colonel Wahid Udin Street, Kota Sekayu. The Head of DPMPTSP Muba, through the Head of Permitting and Complaints, Yunita Indriaty, explained that the Hotel Chaca building is currently situated in a green zone. Consequently, the PBG permit, now referred to as the Building and Construction Approval (PBG), cannot be issued as it would contradict the Regional Spatial Planning Regulation (Perda RTRW).

This situation highlights that the permitting issue surrounding Hotel Chaca remains unresolved, while the integrated team formed to address the matter appears to have made limited progress. We will continue to monitor this case and provide further information as it becomes available.
