PALI, KOTABARI.COM – The Narcotics Unit of PALI District Police has successfully apprehended a suspected drug dealer of crystal methamphetamine, locally known as “sabu.” The apprehended individual, identified as Z (40), was captured on Thursday (3rd August 2023) at the PT.KIM Mess in Talang Ubi Sub-district, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) Regency.
PALI District Police Chief, AKBP Khairu Nasrudin. S.I.K, SH, through the Head of Narcotics Unit, IPTU Hamdani, SH, revealed that the arrest was initiated based on information provided by the community. The public had reported the alleged activities of an individual with the initials Z involved in distributing crystal methamphetamine within the premises of PT.KIM Mess.
“We received this information and immediately coordinated with the Talang Ubi Police Chief. Subsequently, our personnel were deployed to conduct an investigation into the reported information,” stated IPTU Hamdani to the press on Saturday (5th August 2023).
Acting on the information received, a combined team of law enforcement personnel conducted the arrest and a search on the suspect, Z. The suspect was found seated at an empty roadside stall on logging unit 8 of PT. MHP, presumably awaiting customers.
“During the search, the officers discovered several pieces of evidence, including 4 transparent plastic clip bags suspected to contain crystal methamphetamine, 12 empty transparent plastic clip bags, 1 box of black-colored LA BOLD brand cigarettes, 1 OPPO A12 mobile phone in light blue color, and 1 black and red HONDA REVO FIT motorcycle without a license plate,” he elaborated.
Suspect Z, along with the seized evidence, was then taken into custody at the Talang Ubi Police Station, and subsequently handed over to the Narcotics Unit of PALI District Police for further investigation.
