Lampung, KOTABARI.COM â The case of Advent Pratama Telaumbanua, a Bintara student hailing from South Nias Regency, who was undergoing training at the State Police School (SPN) of the Lampung Regional Police, has raised suspicions and controversy. Advent Pratama was reported to have passed away after a fall during a midday assembly at the school.
However, the victim’s family suspects foul play in the circumstances surrounding his death. An autopsy conducted at Adam Malik Hospital in Medan revealed unusual injuries across Advent Pratama’s body, including incision wounds on his right hand’s fingers and bruising on various parts of his body. Photos of these injuries have circulated widely on social media, posted by Mutiara J Waruwu on her Facebook account, who is the victim’s sibling.
In her Facebook post, Mutiara J Waruwu sought support in uncovering the truth behind her brother’s death. She expressed suspicion that his demise could be a result of violence, given the abnormal wounds found on his body. Mutiara’s plea for a thorough investigation into the matter gained significant public support.
The Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Regional Police explained that initially, Advent Pratama’s death was attributed to exhaustion following his fall during the assembly. Classmates and caregivers who witnessed the incident immediately provided assistance and summoned medical personnel. However, Advent Pratama’s condition worsened, and he eventually passed away at the hospital.
Initially, the family received information suggesting that Advent had died due to illness and thus did not require an autopsy. However, their perspective shifted after observing suspicious wounds on Advent’s body, including on his forehead, chin, lips, and upper abdomen. The family then decided to conduct an autopsy at Adam Malik Hospital in Medan to ascertain the true cause.
The suspicion of violence gained traction as Advent’s friends indicated that he had been subjected to abuse by more than one individual. There were even reports that Advent was forced to abstain from eating. The victim’s family plans to officially report these allegations of violence to the Lampung Regional Police.
Following the autopsy, Advent Pratama Telaumbanua’s body was laid to rest in his family’s hometown, and the case has attracted widespread attention. The public demands a thorough and impartial investigation into the alleged acts of violence that potentially contributed to the tragic death of this Bintara student.
