Palembang, KOTABARI.COM – The investigators from the Special Crimes Division of the South Sumatra High Prosecutors’ Office (Kejati Sumsel) are actively pursuing information in connection with an alleged corruption case involving irregularities in the construction of the Cinde Market between 2016 and 2018. Today, they questioned three witnesses, all of whom are high-ranking officials from PD Pasar Palembang Jaya.

Vanny Yulia Eka Sari, Head of Public Relations at Kejati Sumsel, explained that the three witnesses questioned today were HE (Director of Administration and Finance at PD Pasar Palembang Jaya), MW (Head of Human Resources at PD Pasar Palembang Jaya), and HMI (Subdivision Head at PD Pasar Palembang Jaya). They were all examined as part of efforts to strengthen the evidence in the investigation of the alleged corruption case related to the construction of Cinde Market in Palembang.

Previously, investigators also summoned and questioned representatives of the project executing company, PT Magna Beatum Aldiron (MBA). Witnesses from PT MBA who were examined included MFT (CEO of Magna Beatum), ALT (Commissioner of PT Magna Beatum), and RY (Representative of PT Magna Beatum).

Vanny emphasized that the witness examination process is part of an ongoing series of investigative activities. She also reminded that witnesses who are called to appear before the investigators must cooperate by attending the summons, as their statements are crucial to strengthening the evidence in this case.

Furthermore, Vanny asserted that there are legal sanctions for those who do not cooperate when called upon by the investigators to provide testimony as witnesses. This is intended to ensure a smooth and fair investigative process.

The South Sumatra High Prosecutors’ Office is committed to thoroughly investigating the alleged corruption case in the construction of Cinde Market and ensuring that those involved in any wrongdoing will face the appropriate legal proceedings.
