Palembang, KOTABARI.COM – Adelia Putri Salma (APS), a well-known Instagram influencer from Palembang, has been apprehended by the Lampung Regional Police (Polda Lampung) on Saturday (26/8/2023) for her suspected involvement in an international drug trafficking network. According to gathered information, the arrest took place at a beauty clinic on Basuki Rahmat Street, Palembang, where Adelia was taken into custody along with her personal driver.
As Kotabari.com monitored Adelia’s residence on Monday (28/8/2023) in Lorok Pakjo Village, Ilir Barat (IB) I District, Palembang, it was observed that her green-painted house appeared vacant. No signs of activity were visible around the premises, even though the porch lights remained on despite the daytime.
Local neighborhood association (RT) chairman, Syafrizal, confirmed that Adelia’s residence had been subjected to a police search on the evening of Saturday (26/8). Speaking to Kotabari.com, Syafrizal disclosed that he was requested by the police to witness the search at Adelia’s house.
Syafrizal also confirmed Adelia’s presence at the house during the search. However, he only stayed briefly due to feeling unwell. Although he wasn’t privy to the specifics of the items or documents seized by the police, Syafrizal stated that the police mentioned Adelia’s alleged involvement in an international drug trafficking case.
Adelia’s purported involvement in this case is suspected to be connected to her husband’s business, who is currently serving a prison sentence. Syafrizal is unaware of the exact location of Adelia’s husband’s incarceration, but he revealed that the police indicated that despite his imprisonment, Adelia allegedly retained a role in overseeing the network.
Syafrizal explained that Adelia had only become a resident of his neighborhood approximately one year ago. Throughout this year, Adelia had not interacted directly with the local residents, and only her father had visited to report official documents.
This case has come as a shock to many in Palembang, especially among Adelia’s fans who had never suspected the beautiful influencer’s involvement in such a serious case as an international drug network. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter.
