Muara Enim, KOTABARI.COM – In anticipation of the Eid Al-Fitr homecoming season in 2024, the Muara Enim Regency Government has taken proactive measures to address the frequent traffic congestion at several railway crossings. On Saturday, April 6, 2024, Acting Regent of Muara Enim, Dr. H. Ahmad Rizali, M.A., together with the Chief of Police of Muara Enim, AKBP. Jhoni Eka Putra, S.H., S.I.K., M.M., and the District Military Commander (Dandim) 0404 Letkol. Inf. Nugraha, S.H., M.I.P., officially announced the provision of the Muara Harapan-Aur Duri alternative route spanning 55 kilometers.
“This is our effort to address the congestion that often occurs at railway crossings in the Muara Enim Regency,” stated Acting Regent of Muara Enim, Dr. H. Ahmad Rizali, M.A.
He further explained that the alternative route can be used by all drivers coming from Palembang, entering through Desa Tebat Agung or directly under the PT. TEL flyover, with a route spanning 55 kilometers through Desa Aur Duri towards Desa Muara Harapan in the Muara Enim District.
To ensure the safety and convenience of road users, the Muara Enim Regency Government has instructed relevant departments to promptly install directional signs at road junctions.
“We hope that with this alternative route, we can reduce the burden of congestion that usually occurs during the Eid Al-Fitr homecoming,” he added.
The Acting Regent also reminded travelers to always prioritize their safety and the safety of their families by maintaining the health condition of themselves and their vehicles. He also emphasized the importance of ensuring the security of homes left behind during the journey.
With these measures in place, it is hoped that this year’s Eid Al-Fitr homecoming will proceed smoothly and safely for all travelers passing through the Muara Enim Regency.
