Banten, KOTABARI.COM – Good news has arrived for Norma Risma, a woman from Banten who months ago went viral for exposing an adultery scandal involving her former husband and her own biological mother. The Banten Regional Police have taken decisive action by officially designating Rohimah, Norma Risma’s biological mother, and Rozy Zay Hakiki, Norma’s ex-husband, as suspects in this case.
Both of them have been charged under Article 284 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to adultery. This decision comes after an investigative process conducted by the police since Norma Risma’s report on January 29, 2023. Kompol Herlia Hartarani, the Head of Subdivision IV for Adolescents, Children, and Women (Renakta) at the Banten Regional Police, revealed that following the case review, both RH and RZ met the criteria to be declared as suspects.
“After the case review, RH and RZ have been officially designated as suspects in the adultery case under Article 284 of the Criminal Code,” stated Kompol Herlia during an interview with Kotabari.com on Thursday (August 24, 2023). The case, initially under investigation, was upgraded to an official criminal inquiry on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
Throughout the investigative and inquiry processes, the authorities conducted interviews with the complainants, the accused, and several witnesses. Based on the available evidence and testimonies from witnesses, the Banten Regional Police took the significant step of designating RH and RZ as suspects. Herlia also expressed hopes that all parties involved would cooperate fully in the legal proceedings.
“We urge all parties involved in this case to be cooperative, so that the case can be promptly resolved without unnecessary delays,” she emphasized.
The investigative team’s efforts don’t stop there. They have sent notifications of suspect status designation to the Banten High Prosecutor’s Office through an official letter known as SP2HP, which was addressed to the complainant. The examination and pursuit of justice regarding this sensational case will continue as authorities seek to establish justice.
