Governor Deru expressed his support by ensuring that Sriwijaya FC will have a training ground and home base at Bumi Sriwijaya Stadium.

Hendriansyah also mentioned that Sriwijaya FC will establish a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Provincial Youth and Sports Office (Dispora) to utilize Bumi Sriwijaya Stadium. Governor Deru has instructed the Head of the Youth and Sports Office to collaborate in facilitating the utilization of Bumi Sriwijaya Stadium for Sriwijaya FC’s training.

He stated that such support is crucial to ensure the achievements and progress of Sriwijaya FC in the Liga 2 competition.

Sriwijaya FC has had to switch training grounds for several seasons, even resorting to using mini soccer and futsal fields. This was due to the limited availability of proper football fields that were often occupied by PSSI and FIFA events.

Buyung Ismu also emphasized the importance of having adequate football fields for the advancement of the football club. He hoped that the Local Government would continue to support Sriwijaya FC, allowing the club to thrive and achieve remarkable success.

With the backing of South Sumatra Governor and concrete steps to facilitate the training ground at Bumi Sriwijaya Stadium, it is expected that Sriwijaya FC can refocus on preparations for the 2023 Liga 2 competition and achieve commendable results for the people of South Sumatra.
