Pagaralam, KOTABARI.COM – The controversy surrounding the dismissal of former City Secretary Syamsul Bahri Burlian by former Mayor of Pagar Alam, Alpian Maskoni, is currently undergoing resolution proceedings with the Civil Service Commission (KASN). Latest reports indicate that the KASN has conducted an examination of Alpian Maskoni regarding the controversial incident.
Chairman of KASN, Prof Agus Pramusinto, through Regional Assistant II, John Ferianto, confirmed that the examination of Alpian Maskoni has been completed on November 13, 2023. John explained that the results of the examination have been reported and coordinated with the National Civil Service Agency (BKN).
“We have examined the former Mayor of Pagar Alam, Alpian Maskoni, on November 13, 2023. The results have been reported and coordinated with the BKN,” said John on Tuesday (11/21/2023).
John added that the KASN has taken statements from all parties involved, including the Civil Service Personnel Agency (BKPSDM) and the Inspectorate of Pagar Alam City. He mentioned that at present, additional statements are deemed unnecessary as all relevant parties have provided their testimonies.
However, John emphasized that the schedule for the final determination of the examination results cannot be disclosed yet due to several other processes that the KASN needs to complete before the final decision is announced or handed over to the disputing parties.
On the other hand, Syamsul Bahri Burlian’s legal team emphasized the importance of KASN working diligently and transparently in handling this matter. They hope that KASN remains uninfluenced by any party to ensure justice for all parties involved, especially their client, Syamsul Bahri Burlian.
“We urge the KASN to conclude the examination results promptly. According to the 60-day duration for complaint resolution, this process has been ongoing for over a week since our complaint, therefore, we hope KASN handles this matter seriously and transparently to ensure justice for our client,” said Neko Verlyno, S.H,C.P.L, a member of Syamsul Bahri Burlian’s legal team.
As a note, the legal team had sent a letter to the Chairman of KASN on November 6, 2023, requesting an examination of Alpian Maskoni. They expressed appreciation for KASN’s work in examining the former Mayor Alpian Maskoni.
This controversy remains under public scrutiny, while the involved parties await the decision from KASN regarding the case that surfaced during the final days of the former Mayor’s term in Pagar Alam.
